About us
The company Eolian Bunker s.r.l. was founded in Lipari in 1976 by Giuseppe Merenda and Alessandro Casali as a fuel depot (petrol and diesel) for all marine transport vessels (fishing boats, ships, pleasure boats and hydrofoils) sailing around the Aeolian Islands.
The building and activity of the Coastal Depot, with its 800 cubic meter capacity for diesel and 200 cubic meter capacity for petrol, has over the years helped to develop local maritime tourism, which was previously based simply on the transit of ships and vessels that could not sufficiently refuel in the islands.
Eolian Bunker s.r.l. has also become a reference for private leisure boats and those carrying passengers around the Aeolian Islands.
It has made new hydrofoil services between the Aeolian Islands and the mainland possible, in particular between the islands and Naples, giving impulse to new operators within the nautical sector both nationally and locally.
